Illustration Friday: Late

Don't wait
until it's too late.
To ask a pretty lady
on a date.

My idea behind the concept "late" is that the woman is receiving a love letter many many years after it was sent, therefore the message is way late... but I suppose the image could be interpreted many ways. Maybe she's receiving a letter about the passing of her late husband, or maybe she has waited until it is too late to send the message. In any case, it's a bit of a lesson on not hesitating in telling someone you love them.

I'm hoping to make these Illustration Friday posts a regular routine as a way of building up some promotional material. Plus it gives me an excuse to play around with different techniques. I used Liquitex modeling paste to model the face. I've never used the paste in this way before, but it was a lot of fun and it worked pretty well.
